Leyton Industrial Village, East London

A challenging project, incorporating a busy industrial estate and Network Rail land

An industrial village in London has been transformed and is ready for business earlier than expected thanks to Faircloth Construction.

The project was carried out on behalf of the Workspace Group and included the construction of 21 industrial units at the Leyton Industrial Village, East London.

The contract formed the demolition of c.50,000 sq ft of 1950’s concrete and steel framed units and the construction of 25 light industrial and studio units. These incorporated first floor mezzanines along with full necessary facilites. The new units are constructed to a high specification, reflecting the clients knowledge of the demand in the local industrial market. The development incorporates PV panels supplying each of the industrial units with solar power. Furthermore, the full development has been constructed to meet a 'very good' BREEAM rating.
